Want to know how to change your gender in The Sims 4? To say this game is iconic is an understatement. This series has been going strong for 22 years and hasn’t slowed down even a little. But what if you chose a gender in The Sims 4 and want to swap it out? It may not be clear initially, but you can do it. There are a few fixes for that problem, actually.
There are two ways to change or influence gender in The Sims 4. There is the cheat code method, then there is the way you can slightly influence which gender is born. We will include both methods for you.

Change Your Gender in The Sims 4
The Cheat Way
This is the quickest and easiest way to change your gender in the Sims. This can only be done after the baby is born.
- Open the cheat console using Ctrl + Shift + C
- Type in cheat testingcheats true
- Type in another cheat cas.fulleditmode
- Shift + click on the Sim
- Select “Modify in CAS”
- Change the gender
The (Other) Way
Yes, you can influence which gender child gets born by doing the following. But it’s still a bit of a crap shoot.
- To have a boy listen to alternative music and eat carrots
- To have a girl, eat strawberries and listen to pop music
