The Evening Cicada is a bug you can find in July through August in the Northern Hemisphere. It likes to hang out on any tree throughout the islands. What makes this bug challenging to catch is its active hours. It’s available in the early morning between 4 am, and 8 am, and a brief three-hour window in the evening from 4 pm to 7 pm.

When it comes to catching an Evening Cicada, the toughest part will be finding one. Once you can locate this little bug, capturing it is a breeze. Hold A to walk up to it slowly, and swing your net when you’re within range. The Evening Cicada is a greenish-yellow color, unlike other Cicadas that are out during a similar time.

Like other Cicadas, this one has a limited seasonality. Make sure to be on the lookout for this little bug throughout July and August. I hope this guide helps you catch an Evening Cicada! When you snag one, you are one step closer to completing that Critterpedia.
