Many of the Cicadas are available between July and August, but this one shows up a month later. It’s around for the majority of the day between 8 am and 5 pm. If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, the months to check are August and September. Add six months to that if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, which means February and March.

It’s likely the last Cicada you’ll need to catch to complete your collection. It appears on hardwood and cedar trees around the islands. The essential things for finding one is distinguishing it from the others and getting one to spawn. They are not exactly rare, so as long as you’re out looking for one during the correct months and times, you shouldn’t have a problem.

When you spot one on the side of a tree, approach slowly, so you don’t startle it. As soon as you’re in range, swing your net and catch it. That’s all there is to it.
