The Scarab Beetle is a relatively rare bug spawn, so you might want to try some of the tips and tricks we have here to increase your odds. A good thing to do is use some Nook Miles and try to find Stag Beetle Island, which is a rare 2% spawn island. If you manage to find this island, you can catch every rare stag beetle within a few hours.

If you want to do this on your own island, that is an option as well. Getting rid of rocks and picking flowers can help increase the odds of finding Scarab Beetles. Aside from that, you’ll need to be patient because they are not very common.

You will want to make sure you’re looking in the month of July from 11 pm to 4 am to optimize your odds of catching one of these. If you go past 4 am you will end up seeing a bunch of butterflies which lowers your odds.
