While Rainbow Trout may sound like an exclusive and difficult to find fish, it is quite a common fish, and you will be able to find it with ease, if you know where and when to look for it. Here is a quick guide on how to catch a Rainbow Trout in Stardew Valley.

  • You will find Rainbow Trout in the river (Pelican Town and Cindersap Forest) and the Mountain Lake.
  • Rainbow Trout can be found during Summer, under a sunny weather (6am to 7pm).
  • You can also find them in garbage cans and on the Travelling Cart for 195-1000g.
  • If using the Magic Bait, you will be able to catch Rainbow Trout regardless of weather, season or time.
