How to catch a Dorado in Animal Crossing New Horizons
- Fish: Dorado
- Location: Rivers
- Month: June – September
- Time: 4am – 9pm
- Shadow: Size 5
- Price: 15,000 Bells
One fish a lot of players are eyeing up this month is the Dorado. This is the most valuable fish for the month of June. It has a size five shadow, and can be found in Rivers during the months of June through September in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere, you need to look for this one from December through March.
While you may think this fish is going to be tough to catch due to its value, it seems like a common fish to catch. Between all the size five shadows out there, the Dorado appears more frequently than Pikes. For your best odds at catching one, make sure to fish at any river before 4 pm during July and August. You can still catch this in June, of course, but this is how to get the best odds.
Learning the differences between size four and size five shadows will help you become successful during your Mystery Island trips. Other new fish this month include:
- Giant Snakehead
- Gar
- Arapaima
- Tilapia
- Dorado
- Arowana
- Saddled Bichir
- Piranha
- Suckerfish
- Great White Shark
- Whale Shark
- Hammerhead Shark
- Saw Shark
- Ribbon Eel
