Sons of the Forest has a new patch and with it, the developers introduced many new things including stone buildings. Getting a new building material that is solid and stronger than logs will certainly change the way many players play the game and most definitely change how their bases look (who would want to have a wooden house in a stone age right?).
One particular thing many gamers were looking into was the fireplace and how they can quickly build one for their base. Keep reading to get quick instructions on how you can get a stew cooking in your favorite fireplace in no time.

How to Get a Stone Fireplace in Sons of the Forest?
In order to build a Stone Fireplace you need to open up your builder’s book and find it under Utility. You can face it to any side you’d like and once you place the blueprint of it in the ideal location you need to bring 42 stones to complete it.
Once you have a Stone Fireplace built you can throw in a couple of branches and start a fire. You can then cook in there or use it to provide yourself with some warmth. Even though Fireplace was only a cosmetic item in the game’s prequel, the Forest, now it’s pretty useful.
What Else Can You Build With Stones?
It seems that stones offer plenty of opportunities when it comes to constructing things. You can throw them on top of each other to create pillars or walls, or you can use them to make a foundation for a wooden floor. You can use rope on walls created with stones.
With this latest update the game has made a clear difference between stones and rocks so make sure that every time you wish to build something with stone you give instructions to your companions to get you stone, not rock. Stones will be most easily found near rivers.
