In Build a Boat for Treasure, you must use coins to buy crates to get building materials, to build better boats to find the treasure. If you don’t really fancy doing the same over and over again to get coins, you can instead set up an AFK farm to slowly generate coins for you. There are a few ways to do this, but I will be sharing the principles with you. Here is how to build an AFK farm in Roblox Build a Boat for Treasure.
What you’ll need
AFK farms are typically challenging and require a number of resources. From researching the myriad of AFK farms for Build a Boat for Treasure, I have concluded that the materials below are the most cost effective method of producing an AFK farm, but it is still rather expensive.
For this AFK farm, you’ll need two portals, a jetpack, 70 light lightweight blocks, and two classic wheels, and a switch. It is important to not miss anything out, as the AFK farm will not work without it. Thankfully, once you have everything, it will be very quick to build.
You will also need the screwdriver tool and the binding tool.
To do this, you will need to be on White Team.

Setting up the portal
The AFK works by having a portal already inside the course for you to teleport to automatically. This way, you will spawn and die over and over again, generating lots of coins. For the teleportation set up, equip a jetpack, any will do. Then, place the portal, horizontally, on the jetpack. You will essentially be walking around with the portal attached to you.
Now, using the jetpack, parkour your way across the different teams until you reach the entrance of the courses. If you wanted to, you could try to get as far as you can through the different courses. The deeper you go, the more coins you will generate. When you have reached your desired depth, you can anchor the portal in mid-air, above the water.
Once the portal is floating in place, simply reset your character or die by the water to be sent back to your base.
Setting up the AFK farm
With the portal in place, you can now set up the AFK farm. This will operate by rotating a portal in a wide circle that will pick you up at the spawn point, teleporting you to the other portal to die, which is when you will gain coins for your ‘progress’. As soon as you spawn in, the portal will keep grabbing you, allowing you to leave and generate coins.
Find where the path ends and place a classic wheel, facing up, half a block away from the end of the path. Atop the wheel, in the centre, place a lightweight block. Place an additional 49 of that block in a straight line facing the exit of your build site. Then, at the end face of the final block, place another classic wheel (half a block upward, however). Place another lightweight block atop that wheel, in the centre. Place another four blocks in a straight line towards the exit.
On the bottom surface of that final block, place two more blocks downwards. Horizontally, place the portal on the end surface of the bottom block. Your construction will look as though a strange hook. Select all the blocks and turn collision off and set the torque to max. Select the first classic wheel and set the speed to 5. Select the second classic wheel and set the speed to 40.
Finally, place a switch that connects to the two wheels and turn it on. Finally, reset yourself and watch the magic happen!
