How to Breed Beasts for Gold

Gold farming in Hogwarts Legacy is very important because, well, things can get really expensive really fast! There are several ways you will be able to do this, such as gear collecting and selling, chest looting, and even setting up a shop! And, another way you will be able to get some gold, like you have seen in the title, is by breeding beasts and selling them for gold. You will need the Room of Requirement and other things to be able to do so, so follow this steps to know how to breed beasts for gold in Hogwarts Legacy:

  • First, be sure you have completed the Deek quest called The Plight of the House Elf. If you have, just continue advancing through the story until you reach Winter.
  • At this point, you have already unlocked the Room of Requirement, so go ahead and meet Deek in there and start the Foal of the Dead side quest.
  • Go ahead and visit Tomes and Scolls, and purchase a Breeding Pen Spellcraft for 1000 gold. Save up unless you want to be bankrupt.
  • You will be tasked during this quest to rescue a male and female Thestral. Use your nab-sack to collect them.
  • Talk to Deek with both Thestrals captured and with the Spellcraft collected. The Room of Requirements will bring forth a special room for the Thestrals to breed.
  • Conjure a Breeding Pen and select the Thestral.
  • It will take a total of 30 minutes to breed each creature.
  • Once you have the new offspring, bring it in your nab-sack to Brood and Peck in Hogsmeade and sell it for 120 gold. You will be able to do this repetitively. You can also set up multiple Breeding Pens to breed multiple offspring of several creatures at once, multiplying your income.
