Go back to the daydreams of your childhood by playing the new videogame Hogwarts Legacy! Players of the game will get to enroll in Hogwarts, which was first created by J.K. Rowling many years before, in this new game created by Avalanche Software! Bringing with it a fresh set of events, characters and new locations, Hogwarts Legacy offers a unique look on the Wizarding World we know and love. That does not, however, prevent minor cameos from being made by characters, like the ghosts from the original Harry Potter source content. In order to prevent a Goblin Rebellion led by the villain Ranrok from eradicating Wizardkind, and the Dark Wizards lead by Victor Rookwood from expanding his criminal network, you must learn spells and take on quests in this magical world!
The game’s revolutionary combat system involves a lot of unique mechanics that make it different from any other RPG game out there. With nearly two dozen spells to choose from, as well as several potions that grant unique effects, dueling in the world of Harry Potter is quite dynamic. However, sometimes your opponents will get the first move in, and you need to know how to protect yourself. In this guide, we explain how to stop spells from getting you, namely Accio in Hogwarts Legacy.

How Do You Block Accio in Hogwarts Legacy?
You will learn Protego early on in the game, which is the spell that you and your enemies can all use to cast a shield around yourself. Usually invisible, in this game the spell has been modified so that you can see a Protego shield when it’s been cast. Although this isn’t how it was originally designed, without this change the spell would be impossible to see. Therefore, using it when you are about to be hit with Accio can help to keep you in the fight.
Therefore, to block and open up your enemies for a counterattack, you will need to know how to cast this defensive spell. Use Protego by pressing Triangle on PlayStation, the ‘Y‘ button on Xbox, or Left CTRL on PC. You will want to do this as soon as your opponents cast Accio, or right before it if you anticipate a potential strike. This will protect you from any incoming attacks for a time, and allow you to try your hand at parrying with a Basic Cast or an offensive spell like Stupefy. Good luck, and be safe out there!
We hope this tutorial helped you to block enemy attacks using Accio and other spells in the game.
