Death in the Water 2 is a really fun and sometimes scary game. This underwater first-person shooter really goes for its themes well. Short but sweet you’re bound to enjoy it if you love FPS and the struggles of the deep. The deepest struggle of course is the final boss, the Kraken. Just a big violent octopus but hard to keep up with at times. You may be worried it has a few tricks up its tentacles. So here’s how to beat the Kraken in Death in the Water 2.

How to Fight/Beat The Kraken

The key to any battle in Death in the Water 2 is, as a certain blue fish always says, just keep swimming. This is effectively the closest thing you have to a dodge ability. There is no ‘ground’ for you to be held back by unless you swim that far down. So try to swim up and back from the Kraken as it comes for you.

The Kraken swims by quite quickly. It is just a giant violent octopus so as it slinks past its tentacles will mess you up pretty well. The really hard part of fighting the Kraken is it swims so fast from you after a few quick attacks and disappears into the darkness of the sea around you in seconds. It might not always appear in that direction again either. It’s very good and moving around and coming at you from all sides so you must keep your head on a swivel and look around you till you spot it again.

Extra Tips

This might take a good amount of time. Don’t worry about running out of ammo though. There are lots of item boxes on the sea floor around this area you are fighting. Just swim regularly around and find and open them. They will also provide you with healing kits. Just unload all your ammo into the Kraken that you can and avoid the other enemies like sharks around. There are also air tanks around as well.

Eventually, you will whittle down the Kraken’s health. There is no health bar of course so just keep shooting. When you finally defeat it the game will cut to some words about the Kraken retreating back into the abyss. Then you have beaten the Kraken and the game!
