If there’s one thing that can get the blood pumping and the adrenaline surging, it’s a fantastic survival game. Whether you’re fighting the perils of a crashed airplane on a remote island, ala Stranded Deep, or a wicked onslaught of ocean monster combat like in Death in the Water 2, there’s always something for everyone.
But while surviving alone can be a good enough time, playing with a friend or possibly a whole team of players can be even more exciting. And with Death in the Water 2 just released, many players are wondering if it includes multiplayer as one of its features. So today, we’re going to answer whether or not Death in the Water 2 actually has multiplayer!
Does Death in the Water 2 Have Multiplayer? Answered
While the first Death in the Water was a modest title that offered tense gameplay in simple environments, Death in the Water 2 is as bombastic as it can be, with not just schools of sharks to fend off in ship wreckage, but evil mermaids out for blood to boot. This is anything but modest. But with this new love of flair and tenacity, does Death in the Water 2 have the multiplayer features that players may be expecting this time around?
Well, unfortunately, Death in the Water 2 does not have any kind of multiplayer currently. The game is being marketed and sold as a single-player experience, and there hasn’t seemed to have been any kind of solid info from the game’s developer, Lighthouse Games Studio on if multiplayer would be coming at a later time.
Though it is worth mentioning that the community of players enjoying Death in the Water 2 is letting their feelings be known to Lighthouse Games Studio that multiplayer needs to be added at some point soon, as they’re really having a good time with it. But even if the community is asking for it, that doesn’t mean it’ll actually come to fruition.
