Now, fighting grunts in any game is something that is as basic as learning how to walk. The average pawn is always thrown first. He is no match for our plot-armored protagonist that can return from the death as he or she pleases. Now that’s a horrible dealt hand if you ask me. However, if you tell me that the requirements to be a captain or to have a promotion in the grunt army is just to be furious, then I should be CEO of gaming after playing so many bad video games. The owner of the company would be James Rolfe of course. Fortunately, this game isn’t a bad one, but we do have to face a Furious Grunt in order to progress further. Here is how to beat the Furious Grunt in Frozen Flame.

How to Beat the Furious Grunt

Unfortunately for you, this is one of the early fights that will require you to be more skillful. Again, just like with the Smoldering Grunt and the Skull Hunter, you will have to face an enemy holding one of the masks for the Search for the Keeper mission. And just like both of them, the best option for you is to fight fire with fire. In this case, a sword match to the death. But don’t worry, if you die, you learn! And you will learn a lot at the beginning. So be sure to collect a lot of resources to get yourself dressed and even prepare some delicious treats that may or may not heal you, wink-wink.

So, you must craft a Wooden Sword in order to fight the Furious Grunt. The strategy is quite simple. Swing, block or dodge, repeat. It isn’t rocket science, really. What I suggest you to do, if you like taking risks and want to optimize your number of key inputs is, after dealing damage, to move slightly backwards and to the left. The Grunt will swing is sword in a diagonal way that will not get to you. Do this constantly, and you will find that he will be unable to hit you, but you will deal significant damage to him. Do this for a while, and he will be defeated.

This is a fight I really liked, and I really love that the developers, in a really simple way, made these mini-boss fights quite unique. One can only wish that the full game will have this kind of attention to detail. Let’s hope that that will happen.
