How to Beat Goblin Outbreak in Clash Royale: Best Decks for Success

Clash Royale is an action-packed card strategy game created by Supercell and based in the same cinematic world as their hit flagship videogame, Clash of Clans. The aim of this game is to build a deck made from eight of the many cards available, and go head to head against another player to test your mettle. Conserve Elixir so that you can play your cards when needed, and try to take down your opponents’ towers before they can bring ruin to yours in three-minute matches. With a wide variety of cards, combinations and decks available to players it is no small wonder that so many people argue about which are the best. In this guide we will cover four of the best decks for the new Goblin Outbreak challenge.

How Do You Win the Goblin Outbreak Challenge?

The Goblin Outbreak challenge has four stages that players will need to complete in order to fully defeat it. There are tons of great rewards to be earned including Gold, Trade Tokens and chests! The four stages of this game can be divided into two parts, since the first two are friendly challenges which means that you won’t suffer any consequences if you lose a battle. However, the last two parts of this challenge will lock you out if your deck loses three times. Buying your way back in is possible by using Gems, or purchasing the Pass Royale. Without any further ado, here are the best decks for this challenge.

Stage #1: Goblin Barrel Defensive Deck

The first stage locks the 2-Elixir ‘Goblins’ card into your deck, so you can only choose seven others to fill in the remaining spots. The deck that we have decided upon for this first stage of the challenge has been designed for defensive play, with the Goblin Barrel as your main source of damage on an opponent. Use the Barbarian Barrel to defend against enemy Goblin Barrels, while the Bomber, Valkyrie and Baby Dragon are superb counters to the Goblins card. Here is the full deck:

Stage #2: Miner Chip Deck

This second part of the Goblin Outbreak challenge will lock both the 2-Elixir ‘Spear Goblins’ card and the 6-Elixir ‘Goblin Giant’ card into your deck. You should make sure to have a lot of counters for these cards, since you know that players will have to build a deck around them. For example, zap is great at countering the Spear Goblins, while a well-placed Inferno Tower or Skeleton Army can quickly defeat the Goblin Giant in battle. Here is the full deck for you to review.

Stage #3: Defensive Destruction Deck

Back to the basics with this deck, since you will want to play super defensive in stage 3. Being the first round that can actually cause you to flunk out of the challenge, make sure to take your time when building a deck and ensure that you have enough counters for the ‘Dart Goblin’, ‘Goblin Cage’ and ‘Goblin Barrel’ which are all locked in this round. Here is the deck that we have come up with, including the Valkyrie, Barbarian Barrel and Skeleton Army for defense against the Goblin Barrel.

Stage #4: Raged Drill Deck

This last round will lock the ‘Goblin Gang’, ‘Spear Goblins’, ‘Giant Goblin’ and ‘Goblin Drill’ cards into your deck. Therefore it is important to prepare a few counters for these cards, including the Valkyrie and the Inferno Tower. Since the Goblin Drill can tunnel directly to your tower, having the Valkyrie on hand is very important in order to minimize the possible damage as much as you can. Your Inferno Tower is perfect for taking down the Giant Goblin, just make sure to place it 1 tile towards the opposite lane if you use it in the middle!
