Part of being a denizen of a LEGO world is just kind of standing around while weird nonsense goes on right in front of you. Everyone sees heroes battling evil and wars unfolding, and when it’s all over, they’ve got quite the story to tell. If you’re in need of info in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, you can get it… for a price. Here’s how rumors work in LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga.

In every level of LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga, there are three hidden challenges for you to complete. These challenges usually involve some kind of esoteric task like defeating an enemy with the same kind of weapon they’re using or completing an obscure puzzle. If you can successfully complete all three of these challenges, you’ll earn some Kyber Bricks for your trouble. However, the actual requirements for each challenge aren’t revealed to you unless you just happen to complete one. This is where the rumor system comes in.

If you open up your Holoprojector and switch to the Mission tab, you’ll get a list of every mission and challenge in the levels and overworld. Most of these will be locked and colored red, but each one has a rumor associated with it that’ll clue you into what you need to do to achieve them.

Rumors aren’t free, though; to unlock a rumor from the Mission menu, you’ll need to cough up 30,000 Studs a pop. That’s a big investment, so you should try to save this for when you need details on a level challenge, as opposed to rumors about unlockable characters or ships. You can lower the price a bit by buying the Business Opportunist upgrade for the Scoundrel class.

Occasionally, while talking to random NPCs in the overworld, one of them may give you a rumor for free, revealing the contents of a challenge for you. Most of them won’t do this, though, so if you want rumors, you’d better start saving up your studs.
