How Much Have You Spent on Genshin Impact? Here’s How to Check Purchase History

Been spending too much on a gacha game and need to somehow track how much you've spent exactly? We feel you!

Genshin Impact is a free to play RPG currently available to play on PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. While not necessarily play to win, there has and always is an encouragement to spend in the game due to rotating banners that requires a certain amount of in-game currency to have a go at. The game does provide some means of accumulating enough in-game resources to roll for these, such as as Primogems, Starglitter and Stardust exchanges simply by playing the game and completing tasks and storylines as rewards.

Despite that, there can be no denying that the quickest way to try your hand at making new additions to your team and obtaining the very best equipment to gear up your squad with is by parting with a bit of your own cash. But when it’s so easy to do exactly that the same cannot be said for tracking said transaction.

How to Check Purchase History

Unfortunately miHoYo has not yet make it easy to do exactly this. There is no in-game purchase history to be seen in Genshin Impact at the time of writing this despite its release having been back in 2020 and with numerous requests for implementing one across all platforms. While this is due to payments being handled by a third party, it still feels grossly amiss due to just how much of a fortune players can and do rake up in transactions no thanks to its gacha mechanics. Sometimes as one can expect, it can get quite out of hand.

Microtransactions and other in-game purchases allows players the opportunity in rolling the newest five star characters and exclusive weapons with Wishes. These always rotate and is designed to make players feel like they will miss out – which is termed as FOMO. While this is its biggest draw, the game also offers alternative outfits to purchase that cannot be obtained elsewhere alongside plenty of bundles. All this makes it ever so easy to spend money on a free to play game when the base game itself comes free.

Its Crystal top-up is currently the only in-game indicator of players having spent any money in the game if they happened to buy any of these options within this menu. This is because it offers a one-time bonus for your first purchase.

To find your exact total of spending across a possible playtime of over 2 years since its release now, you must ensure to check the source of where your purchase came out from, such as your bank or PayPal account. Simply filter and search for results consisting of “miHoYo”, “Genshin Impact” or “Genshin” in the account that the money came out from.

It’s a tedious task to perform if your transactions are not as recent, so here’s a suggestion. If you happen to be quite the spender on the game, I would suggest keeping track of how much you spend manually by either writing or typing up each transaction and its amount plus the date to always keep on top of your spendings. This will allow you to avoid having to backtrack as far as 2+ years to tally up your total.

Hopefully we will see miHoYo implement such transaction history at some point as the game continues to grow and expand. It would save us a lot of stress!
