How Much are Wall Rings Worth in Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans is one of the oldest base-building mobile games around, with a large fanbase over a decade after the game’s initial release. Wall Rings can be a great way to upgrade your walls, however you will unfortunately need to use multiple at the higher levels, and this can quickly increase the higher your walls are leveled. However, is it worth it compared to the cost of walls using Gems in the game? Keep reading for the full tables on whether Wall Rings give you value or if they are simply a drain on your Gems!

The Math

Buying Wall Rings from the Village Trader in Clash of Clans either gives you 5 Wall Rings for a whopping 250 Gems in the game, which is not an insignificant amount of the rare resource. This means it costs an average of 50 Gems per Wall Ring in Clash of Clans, at least from this example of where you can buy them. Here are two charts on how many Wall Rings you need to use, which changes depending on the level of your target wall piece.

Now, here are two tables which illustrate how much it costs using Gems straight up to upgrade a wall piece in both villages, the Home Village and the Builder Base Village.

The Results

Therefore, as you can see, Wall Rings really do save you a large amount of gems when you consider how much they cost in terms of Gems versus simply upgrading the wall pieces without them. This means that players who are having trouble with gathering resources, whether that’s through raiding or farming, can also use Wall Rings in order to level up their walls. Although it may seem costly, simply look at how many Gems you will be saving by using Wall Rings!

However, if you can find other ways to get the loot, such as attacking in Clan Wars or participating in the events that are run in Clash of Clans often, that is also advised. Although Wall Rings are better for their value than simply using Gems straight up, the best choice is to use Gold or Elixir to upgrade your walls. Gems are extremely useful and can be used for many different things in Clash of Clans, especially in buying more Builder Huts to speed up your progress in the game. Save them up and use other resources when you can, but know that Wall Rings are useful too!
