Fire Emblem Engage – When to use Master Seal

Master Seals, master units.

Levelling up your units from useless losers all the way to planet-destroying, universe-saving, boss nightmare fuel, magnificent examples of heroes. They even inspire me to do some prose, so that is the extent that my RPG characters from the past have left a mark on my Grinch-sized heart. Having said that, the Fire Emblem franchise has a very special way of treating upgrade units and characters. Today, we will talk about it. Here is when to use a Master Seal in Fire Emblem Engage.

When to use a Master Seal

Before being able to use Master Seals, you want to have to collect them. You will get them during Paralogue Battles (that is, the sections between chapters). You can also purchase Master Seals in Somniel Item Shop, for 2500 gold each. Moreover, but you can also find them in Treasure Chests during battles and as rewards when completing certain Chapters. With that being said, the Master Seal is sort of like a Prestige option, although more powerful than it was in the CoD saga.

You see, once your unit reaches level 10 of its Basic Class, you will be able to use a Master Seal in order to upgrade said unit. In Somniel, open your inventory, click “Change Class” and select your Master Seal. You will be able to select and Advances Class. Once you do, your unit’s level will be reset back to 1. However, it will be an Advanced Class level 1.

An Advanced Class level 1 is more powerful than a Basic Class level 10, even a level 20, so you will want to upgrade as soon as you hit level 10 while at Basic Class. Now, if you wish to change your class because you need a change, or you selected a wrong one, then go ahead and use a Second Seal. Again, you can get one of those at Somniel Item Shop, for 2500 gold each. Alternatively, you can find them in Treasure Chests as well.

Now that you know the benefits from using a Master Seal, go ahead and upgrade your units as soon as you can. Otherwise, you are losing out from having powerful units that will be able to save you a lot of time and effort that a Basic Class will have you wasting. Hope you get to collect as much Master Seals as you require. Good luck!
