What does Sleeping in your Bed do in Fire Emblem Engage?

Never understimate the power of a good, uninterrupted sleep. I mean, there are times that work, or trying to save the world will inevitable take away our sleep hours, but experience has shown me that we can never neglect at least a power nap during the afternoon. And no, a nap is not a four-hour sleep, I have learned that the hard way. Anyway, in Fire Emblem Engage, you will have a special room in which you will be able to get your beauty sleep and also view past scenes and cutscenes. But, what does sleeping in your bed do in Fire Emblem Engage? Well, we are going to find out, now.

What does Sleeping in your Bed do?

Sleeping in games is usually just a mere easter egg and does not do anything special. There are some games like Skyrim that will give you a well rested bonus after sleeping in a bed, and some games even restores your health and magic/mana. In this case, we are talking about a character named Alear, our main protagonists in Engage, that has been sleeping for a thousand years since the last war happened. I imagine that there is nothing that sleeping in the bed will do for him that hasn’t already been done in the past millennia.

And that is correct! There is no special boost or buff for our dear Alear, but there are a couple of things that can happen. First, you will advance time slightly in Somniel. Second, your friends and allies will come to wake you up, fearing that you may be knocked out for another thousand years.

You can sleep in your bed to advance time then, but really, the most enjoyable part of the experience is getting to see the interactions between Alear and all of your friends. So, is it worth it?
