When you first gain access to the whole map in Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll likely notice that a lot of jobs and sidequests are marked “Danger: Very High.” This game has a bit of a bad habit of front-loading you with quests way out of your level range. The only way you’re gonna get at those jobs is if you do some beefing up yourself. Here’s the fastest way to level in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cue the training montage
You get experience from just about everything you do in Cyberpunk 2077, whether it’s killing enemies or hacking stuff, but the lion’s share of your experience points will come from finishing jobs. The main jobs each yield a pretty hefty experience payout, but obviously, those take the longest to do and are the most spaced-out, and they’ll run out when you beat the story. Side jobs yield a good EXP payout as well, though some of them can be a little obtuse, or inaccessible without certain Attribute levels.
Fastest Way to Level in Cyberpunk 2077
The best way to level fast in Cyberpunk 2077 up quick experience is to clear jobs from the NCPD police scanner. These police jobs are all over the map, to a mildly absurd degree even. Every light blue icon you see on the map is another police job, and they’ll also light up and flash on your map when you drive past them. You can filter the map to Open World to spot these jobs more easily. Look for “Assault in Progres” and “Reported Crime” icons.
These jobs are usually pretty open and shut, focusing on quick combat encounters rather than lengthy plotlines. While each individual job doesn’t net you as much EXP as a main job or side job, the sheer volume of them around the map means you can clear a bunch in short order for a string of smaller EXP payouts.
If you’re still not getting as much EXP as you’d like, you can also increase your EXP payouts by increasing the game’s difficulty in the settings. A job completed on hard difficulty is usually worth at least 1.5 times the EXP as one completed on easy. If you don’t mind a little more pressure in combat, raising the difficulty can help to expedite the grinding process, especially if you leave it up there for the main jobs.
