Elden Ring Twinblade Location

Here's everything you need to know about where to find the Twinblade in Elden Ring, the double-bladed sword that packs a punch.

A double-bladed sword is one of those things that sounds really cool on paper, but in practice, would probably be a major headache to use. It would probably be extremely heavy, and you would need a lot of practice to use it without slicing your hands off. In real life, it’s definitely not something you’d want to use, but since the Tarnished of Elden Ring can’t really die, it’s a lot safer for them to try it. Here’s where to find the Twinblade in Elden Ring.

The Twinblade is, well, exactly what it sounds like: a two-bladed sword. Twinblades are actually an entire category of weapon in Elden Ring, but you can get your first Twinblade surprisingly early in the game if you know where to look. The basic Twinblade has a physical damage rating of 119 with Ds on STR and DEX scaling. You need to have at least 10 STR and 18 DEX to wield it, but if you’re running a melee-centric build, that shouldn’t be a problem. You can use it one-handed if you like, but it really shines if you go two-handed, delivering numerous, speedy slashes in close quarters.

The Twinblade can be found in the Dragon-Burnt Ruins, which are found in the middle of Agheel Lake. It’s the big lake due east from where you first start the game, you can’t miss it. The Flying Dragon Agheel field boss may be lurking around here, but you don’t have to fight him if you don’t want to.

The Dragon-Burnt Ruins are currently home to a camp of Undead Soldiers and their Dogs, but you can make short work of them by using the Spirit Summoning Bell and calling up your Lone Wolves.

Once the mooks are cleared out, you need to find a downward staircase leading into a cellar. Now, this part is super important: there is a downward staircase in the middle of the Undead Soldiers’ camp, but it is not the staircase you’re looking for. At the bottom of that staircase is a room full of giant rats, which is connected to a second room with a booby-trapped chest. If you open this chest, you’ll be warped to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel to the far east, and you won’t be able to fast travel until you escape it and rest at a Site of Grace.

The staircase you’re actually looking for is hidden within a four-walled building with no entrance. The walls are crumbled slightly, so you can call up Torrent and use his double jump to leap over them. Take the staircase down and you’ll find a small room with a proper chest, within which you can claim the Twinblade.
