Does the Ender Dragon Spawn in Peaceful Mode in Minecraft?

Peaceful mode can be very useful in Minecraft, especially when you’re building, mining, or just don’t want to be bothered by hostile mobs. Some hostile mobs are pertinent to successfully beating the game, however, like the Ender Dragon. The Ender Dragon is the queen of hostile mobs; she is the only thing standing between all players and the end of the game!

You’d think that because the Ender Dragon is a hostile mob, she wouldn’t spawn on Peaceful mode, but you’d be wrong! Contrary to popular belief, the Ender Dragon does actually spawn on Peaceful mode in Minecraft! Getting to the End Portal to get to her while in Peaceful mode is a whole other story, however.

Can You Beat Survival Minecraft Entirely in Peaceful Mode?

Technically, yes, you can beat Minecraft entirely in Peaceful mode. However, it’s almost impossible to do so. Ender Pearls and Blaze Rods are essential to successfully beating Minecraft, but you won’t be able to get your hands on them in Peaceful mode since Endermen and Blazes won’t spawn.

Technically, however, there is an extremely (and I mean extremely) small chance of a world generating an End Portal with all Eyes of Ender in it. In this case, you wouldn’t need to worry about getting Blaze Rods or Ender Pearls, because you wouldn’t need to craft any Eyes of Ender to complete the End Portal. You really don’t want to rely on this method, however, because it’s an extremely rare and inconsistent occurrence. So although the Ender Dragon does spawn in Peaceful mode in Minecraft, you’ll never be able to reach her in the End dimension if you don’t take your game off of Peaceful mode at least once.
