Square Enix returns with eight brand-spanking new adventures alongside new characters in Octopath Traveler 2. Join any of these characters as they traverse the world of Solistia for various personal reasons. This group of unfamiliar faces isn’t the only thing you should look forward to. The new title also boasts improved HD-2D graphics that merge retro pixel art and 3-D computer graphics. By the looks of the trailers, they’re definitely worth the hype!
The first game of the franchise that was released in 2018 is a single-player experience and the 2020 prequel, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, followed suit. Will the next game be the same?
Does Octopath Traveler 2 Have Multiplayer?
Like the previous Octopath Traveler titles, the latest one will not have multiplayer or co-op options.
If this is a deal breaker for you, I highly encourage you to download the free demo before you rule the game out. It allows you to experience three hours of any character’s story, so you can determine if Octopath Traveler 2 is right for you. Standard Edition Game Package
- 5x Healing Grape(M)
- 2x Revitalizing Jam
- 5x Inspiriting Plum(M)
- 1x Gold Dust (worth 5,000 leaves)
Collector’s Edition Game Package
- Octopath Traveler II Art Album: This is a 44-page hardcover book with breathtaking traveler drawings, package art, and world maps.
- Octopath Traveler II Extended Battle Tracks: This includes 24 unique battle tracks that represent each character. These songs aren’t in the complete soundtrack either!
- Octopath Traveler II Travelers Bust Set: This silver bust set depicts the eight protagonists in the game. They are all about 32 mm wide, 24.6 mm deep, and 76 mm tall.
Keep in mind that some countries cannot get digital versions of the Standard Edition of the game on the Nintendo Switch. The Collector’s Edition of Octopath Travelers is also unavailable in some places. Hopefully, you can get your hands on the version you want!
