Last month, gamers were introduced to Divine Knockout, a 3D arena brawler featuring characters from various mythologies such as King Arthur, Hercules, and Athena. The game contains microtransactions to unlock these characters and cosmetics which can be used online against other players. Like most multiplayer games today, it has cross-play. In this guide we’ll explain the game’s crossplay feature and whether it can be turned off.
Divine Knockout – Can You Disable Crossplay?
Crossplay allows players across multiple platforms to play online with each other. It’s a feature currently present in Divine Knockout. The feature cannot, however, be turned off. This is disappointing to some players as many dislike crossplay due to the fact that it’s easier for PC users to use cheats and hacks making the game unfair for others. Some also worry that PC users have an unfair advantage when it comes to aiming thanks to the accuracy a mouse offers versus the thumbstick on a controller.
Other don’t players don’t agree. On Reddit, there has been some debate over whether or not PC players actually have an advantage. It seems many on the game’s subreddit don’t think PC players do have an advantage as there are several comments on various posts that repeat this opinion. On one post, user Born2beSlicker commented, “In a shooter, I get why this would be wanted. However, I don’t get how PC has an advantage in a fighting game?” Another user, chappYcast, commented on a similar post asking, “As a PC player I’m curious why anyone would want to disable cross-play? I could see in an FPS but not a fighter.” For now, there is no way to turn off cross-play but this could change in the future.
