Disney Dreamlight Valley: Tips & Tricks for Getting Started

We’ve got 5 tips and tricks that are really going to help you in being successful from the moment you begin playing Disney Dreamlight Valley. They aren’t too difficult, and will definitely make things move by a lot smoother so that you gain traction sooner rather than later in its world.

Collect Everything

The first thing you’re going to want to do is to collect just about everything you see. Vegetables, fruits, branches, rocks, flowers, gems, coal, you name it. It’s all really valuable to you whether using it to craft or farm your own items or to turn around and sell to Goofy at one of his Stalls. Everything has value.

Sell, Sell, Sell

Going hand in hand with collecting goodies is selling them. Money plays a big part in Disney Dreamlight Valley, so selling everything you find that you don’t need really is invaluable. Even if you don’t think you need to pick something up, do it anyway because it could be worth something in the long run. Gems, fish, and meals are specifically very valuable items to sell if you don’t need them for quests or craftable items.

Get Friend Levels Up

Something you’ll really want to do is begin friending the inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley. It’s easy to get started and really comes in handy if you’re trying to get the most out of the game. Bringing friends their favorite items helps to grow your relationship faster, thus granting you rewards and even more quests along the road.

Pay Attention to Dreamlight Duties

Dreamlight Duties are in-game activities that you should really try to complete as they reward you with Dreamlight which can be used to unlock the other various areas in-game. Most are easy to accomplish, serving as a way to mark milestones of achievements you’re accomplishing such as collecting a certain amount of a flower or even just selling a specified number of things to Goofy.

Explore

My last tip would simply be to explore. I came across these tips and tricks myself by going off of the beaten path and experiencing the game in my own organic way, exploring what the game gave me and using it to suit my needs. The world is a magical place filled with an abundance of useful things that you’ll need in order to be successful, so go see for yourself!
