Destiny 2 What Does the Fireteam Medic Mod Do?

Are Warmind Cells making a comeback? Probably not, but we can hope.

Want to know what the Fireteam Medic mod does in Destiny 2? It’s got a pretty simple effect, although it is one of the game’s most underutilized mods, so not many people have first-hand experience with it themselves. Still, Destiny 2 is due for a Warmind Cell comeback, so it can’t hurt to familiarize yourself with its options.

Destiny 2 Fireteam Medic Mod Explained

Fireteam Medic is a Warmind Cell combat-style mod. It’s Solar and costs three energy to equip. It’s one of the lesser used Warmind Cells, which aren’t particularly common themselves.

With Fireteam Medic equipped, destroying a Warmind Cell will heal allies in that cell’s radius for 150 HP. That radius can be increased by running Global Reach in your build.

Fireteam Medic isn’t the most useful mod in the world, especially since you need a dedicated Seventh Seraph or Ikelos weapon to spawn cells in the first place. All the same, it can be used in a rare Destiny 2 support build.

Now that we have access to a much larger range of support and healing options through Solar 3.0, Fireteam Medic could come in handy as a supplement to healing grenades, although it’s not going to be strong enough to carry a sub-par Fireteam by itself.

How to Get Fireteam Medic in Destiny 2

To get the Fireteam Medic mod in Destiny 2, you’re going to have to buy it from Ada-1 in the Tower. Ada is found in the Annex of the Tower, just across the hall from Drifter. She only sells two combat-style mods per day, and her inventory is random. So, make sure you’re logging on daily to check what she has for sale. If you miss it, it could be months before you even have a chance to buy it again.

Alternatively, you could download the Destiny 2 Companion app on your phone. The app has a section that lists what all the Tower vendors are selling that day, including Ada. In that case, all you have to do is check to see what she’s selling on your phone, and if you want to buy it, log in. Either works, but make sure you’re checking.
