Bungie was trying to give us a little surprise treat for Bungie Day in the form of a free Spicy Ramen emblem. Unfortunately, that surprise has been spoilt. However, you can still claim the Spicy Ramen emblem in Destiny 2 for free on July 7th.Â
Data Miners Discover Destiny 2’s Spicy Ramen Emblem Early
Game Devs have it tough trying to keep information to themselves, especially for a live service title like Destiny. All that data and code is out there for the knowledgeable among us to sift through in search of little nuggets of interest.
Recently, the name of Season 14, Season of the Splicer, was leaked early thanks to data mining, and that was just one entry in a long history that Bungie has had with the problem.
However, with the Spicy Ramen Emblem, the Devs had to step in as Data Miners had begun to charge players for early access to it. Given that it’s being distributed to players for free on July 7th, DMG04, the Senior Community Manager at Bungie, took to Twitter to prevent any other Guardians from being taken advantage of.Â
In the tweet, he discloses that the emblem was an upcoming gift for Bungie Day and asks that data miners stop spoiling content for the game out of respect for the game’s fun. This certainly isn’t going to prevent these leaks from happening, but it’s a nice sentiment.
