Cyberpunk 2077 Weapons: Smart, Tech, Power, and Melee

There are plenty of weapons to pick from in Night City. You can choose between three main classes of weapons, including Tech, Smart, and Power weapons from a variety of manufacturers. In this guide, we’ll take a look at all of the Cyberpunk 2077 weapons.

Throughout the game, V becomes more proficient at using weapons. You’ll notice weapon handling, reload times, accuracy, and other stats improve as you become more experienced. Improved damage and accuracy allow you to defeat the more challenging encounters later in the game.

Smart Weapons

Smart weapons can track enemies in real-time with their built-in technology. They are perfect for enemies running away from you or getting someone hiding in cover.

Tech Weapons

Tech weapons use electromagnetic power to shoot out a metal projectile at high speed. Due to the bullet velocity, most of the weapons in this category shoot straight through walls and armor.

Power Weapons

Similar to contemporary weapons, with the exception that you can ricochet bullets off of surfaces. If an enemy is hiding behind cover, you can angle your shot to get to them.

How do you find weapons in Cyberpunk 2077?

You can purchase weapons from merchants in Night City. The best weapons are mostly taken from enemies and found in loot caches throughout the city. Rarities include common, uncommon, rare, and legendary. Higher rarity items are more powerful, and also have unique abilities not available on other weapons.

What weapon mods are in Cyberpunk 2077?

There are two types of weapon mods in the game. First are attachments like scopes and silencers, which provide an increase to weapon stats. The second category is software modifications, which can provide additional stat improvements on the guns like more damage, accuracy, and fire rate. Mods can also change the rounds of your weapon like non-lethal, or piercing rounds.
