Crusader Kings 3 Special Buildings Map

Let us guide the way.

Crusader Kings III isn’t the most friendly game out there. It almost feels like there is a years-long learning curve to get started in the game and even then you’re only going to be a beginner. There’s a mechanic within Crusader Kings III focused on special buildings like churches, seven wonders, artifacts, buildings, etc. These special buildings will give your kingdom permanent effects if you are able to conquer the land they’re on and also keep the land for your kingdom for the rest of your playthrough.

Pataliputra Special Building

This Duchy over in India is located directly next to a river and has a ton of farmland which makes your holdings easier to manage in the early game due to Pataliputra giving a Stewardship and Learning bonus. Highly recommend this one.

Krstjani Cathedral Special Building

This one is a bit off the beaten path but it’s pretty cool. You’ll get an increase in devotion from this cathedral which is good to make sure that your citizens are devoted to you. Almost right next door is another Cathedral so getting that second one is of utmost importance. Stacking these two special buildings will allow you to build your technology tree insanely quickly.

House of Wisdom Special Building

In the cradle of civilization, there’s a special building referred to as the House of Wisdom. This building will give you a 15% Cultural Fascination Progress and a 15% Monthly Lifestyle Experience. These will immensely increase your current king or queen and the culture of the kingdom. Widely considered to be the most overpowered building in the game due to it being in Baghdad with all of these bonuses.

With around 70 special sites to choose from there’s no other way but to have fun experimenting and mixing and matching different regions. That’s what Crusader Kings 3 is about after all. You will fail but at least next time you can try something drastically different!

Obsessed with grinding, always playing some game you've never heard of. I am a huge MMORPG, Gacha and farming simulator fan. If I'm not grinding something in one of the many games I play (Final Fantasy XIV, World of Warcraft, Runescape, Epic Seven etc) I can be found working on my novel, reading, watching anime or hanging out with my three dogs.
