Can You Pet the Dog / Cat in Mika and the Witch’s Mountain?

Why does the cat look like it has PTSD

Mika and the Witch’s Mountain is an upcoming indie game about an aspiring young witch named Mika. Mika wants to become a full-fledged witch more than anything, but she’s going to need a lot of practice and adventuring before she can achieve ever her dream. As Mika, you can soar around the world on your magic broom, complete mystifying quests, and deliver important packages to all of your friends! This game is heavily inspired by Studio Ghibli movies like Kiki’s Delivery Service, so if you’re a fan of Studio Ghibli, then you should definitely add this game to your wishlist as soon as possible!

As if this game wasn’t enticing enough, there are also a roaming dog and a roaming cat that can be found in the first village you encounter. Everything about these animals is adorable, even though the cat constantly looks like it’s wigging out. It wouldn’t make sense to add domestic animals to a game and not allow them to be petted; keep reading to find out if you can pet the dog or cat in Mika and the Witch’s Mountain!

Can You Pet the Dog or the Cat in Mika and the Witch’s Mountain?

Currently, the full version of Mika and the Witch’s Mountain has not yet been released, but a demo version of the game was made available to the public a while ago. The game’s beloved dog and cat were both introduced in this demo, and people fell in love with them instantly. The brown dog wanders around the village and will invite you to play with him by circling you and excitedly barking, and the cat can be found in the village as well, snuggling into an adorable froggy chair. Both of them are too cute for words and the urge to pet them is far too strong to resist.

You have no idea how much it pains me to tell you that you cannot pet the dog or the cat in Mika and the Witch’s Mountain. It was an unbelievably cruel move on the developers’ part to put a fluffy doggy and kitty in the game and not let you pet either of them. Hopefully, when the full version of the game comes out, the developers of Mika and the Witch’s Mountain will remedy this catastrophic oversight. Until then, players will just have to keep their non-petting hands to themselves.

Hopefully, once the full version of the game releases, we’ll be able to play with the animals as well as pet them! This game was already at the top of my wishlist, but even if it wasn’t, getting to play with dogs and cats in Mika and the Witch’s Mountain would make the game’s popularity skyrocket. Be sure to get your wallets ready for when this game releases later this year!

The fact that Mika and the Witch’s Mountain has a dog and a cat in it already makes it one of the best games of the year, but not being able to pet them was a huge oversight on the developers’ part.
