For as long as cutscenes have been prevalent in gaming, we’ve longed for a means of pausing — or skipping — them. It’s simply human nature to want to return to the action as quick as possible, or at the very least to put a stop to the action while we scroll on TikTok or grab a snack. Read on to learn about any ways to pause the cutscenes in Hogwarts Legacy.

Can You Pause Cutscenes in Hogwarts Legacy?

No. Well … kind of. It largely depends on what platform you’re playing on. If you’re on a console, you could try hitting the HOME button during a cutscene. It would seem that doing this will pause a cutscene until the second you hit the HOME button again. Or, until you click the game to resume playing. It’s not an ideal solution, but it does the job.

Can You Skip Cutscenes in Hogwarts Legacy?

Yes. In fact, if you’d rather skip the story and get back to the action, you can press and hold the Triangle / Y / whatever the PC equivalent button is and you’ll skip cutscenes entirely.
