Everyone keeping up with Hogwarts Legacy has noticed that the array of spells and combos you can use in the game is enormous and fun. Many famous spells have found their way into the game like Levioso and Expelliarmus. Even some dark ones like Crucio and Avada Kedavra are learnable in Hogwarts Legacy.
This variety of spells has got a lot of players thinking if they will see one of the most popular spells in the Harry Potter franchise – the Sectumsempra spell.

Is Sectumsempra in Hogwarts Legacy?
Unfortunately, Sectumsempra is currently not available in Hogwarts Legacy. This spell coming from the teacher Severus Snape causes the target to have a cut that is unhealable.
Having in mind that Hogwarts Legacy is placed in the 1800s, it wouldn’t be historically accurate to have professor Snape’s spell included. Still, you may wonder why wouldn’t there be a spell from the original HP story when there are some Easter Eggs in the game that clearly reflect the books/movies and you will be right.
Our best guess is that the developers wanted to keep the original gameplay authentic and then would tease players with book and movie references in side quests and items found around the open world.
The best hope for those wanting to see Sectumsempra in Hogwarts Legacy would probably be the mods. After all, this game has seen some incredible numbers early on (and is still seeing) so we should expect some third-party mods dropping quickly that will include other missing spells, including Sectumsempra.
