Pokémon Scarlet and Violet feature new ninth generation Pokémon different from those shown in earlier entries. But similar to older titles, some of these are version specific, which means certain Pokémon can only be owned by playing a specific version. Two of the version-specific Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are Armarouge and Ceruledge, respectively.
They have the same base Pokémon—Charcadet—but they evolve using different items. In this article, we’ll be discussing whether it is possible to get multiple Armarouges or Ceruledges in both Pokémon titles. We’ll also discuss how we can acquire them.
How to get Armarouge and Ceruledge in Pokémon S&V
First, you’ll need to get a Charcadet. They’re quite rare, but you can encounter them everywhere in the entire Paldea region. They can be caught more frequently in West Province (Area One).
Once you catch a Charcadet, you need to get certain items to make it evolve into the cooler-looking version-specific Pokémon. It won’t evolve by leveling up—you have to do more than fight.
How to Evolve Charcadet into Armarouge
Getting the evolution item
- First, you need to get 10 Bronzor Fragments by defeating Bronzor. Go to the ruins next to the Grand Olive Orchard in South Province (Area Two) to find them.
- Second, after getting 10 Bronzor Fragments, go to Zapapico in East Province (Area Three). This is located south of the Team Star Poison Crew Base.
- Third, once there, head north until you see a gentleman in a pink plaid shirt near a small fountain to your right. Talk to him, and he will ask you to trade 10 Bronzor Fragments for a set of Auspicious Armor. Say yes to make the trade.
Evolving Charcadet into Armarouge
Now that you have the Auspicious Armor, you can proceed to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge. Here’s how:
- First, make sure you have Charcadet in your party.
- Second, open your Bag, then go to the Other items tab.
- Lastly, use the Auspicious Armor on Charcadet.
How to Evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge
Getting the evolution item
- First, you need to get 10 Sinistea Fragments by defeating Sinistea. Go to East Province (Area Three), east of Zapapico, to find them.
- Second, after getting 10 Sinistea Fragments, go to Zapapico.
- Third, once there, head north until you see a lady (instead of a gentleman) near a small fountain to your right. Talk to her, and she will ask you to trade 10 Sinistea Fragments for a set of Malicious Armor. Say yes to make the trade.
Evolving Charcadet into Ceruledge
Now that you have the Malicious Armor, you can proceed to evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge. Here’s how:
- First, make sure you have Charcadet in your party.
- Second, open your Bag, then go to the Other items tab.
- Lastly, use the Malicious Armor on Charcadet.
Can I have more than one Armarouge and Ceruledge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
As you can see, you need a very specific item to get Charcadet to evolve into Armarouge or Ceruledge. Because of this, it’s safe to say that you can only have one per version—unless there’s a way to get another set of Auspicious/Malicious Armor in the game.
Perhaps you can have more than one Armarouge or Ceruledge in the game if you trade Pokémons with others. That is, if someone wants to part with theirs.
