Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 – what’s new?

Warzone Season 5 is coming with a whole bunch of new content, even more so than in previous seasons. There’s a lot to dive into, so we’re going to jump right into it. Let’s take a look at the Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 roadmap.

Everything Coming to Warzone in Season 5

In Warzone Season 5, we’re getting:

  • Three new operators.
  • Two new perks.
  • Two new points of interest.
  • A new gulag.
  • A new gamemode.
  • Four new weapons.

Keep in mind that a lot of this new content isn’t coming with Season 5 at launch. Several of the new weapons and operators will be released mid-season. These additional launches will likely coincide with a mid-season story event involving the Red Doors.

Given that we’re getting so close to the release of Call of Duty Vanguard without a proper reveal, this Season’s event may also involve that reveal. However, that’s entirely speculative.

The Three new Operators Coming to Warzone Season 5

  • Kitsune.
  • Stryker.
  • Hudson.

Kitsune is the poster child operator of Season 5. She is releasing at launch, with the other two coming in the following weeks. As a member of the Warsaw Pact, Kitsune is a self-taught cybersecurity expert and spots a gritty, punk-like look.

Stryker is a more run-of-the-mill military operator that works with NATO. Hudson should need no explanation or introduction, given his involvement with the overarching Black Ops narrative.

Two New Perks in Warzone Season 5

  • Combat Scout.
  • Tempered.

Two new perks are also coming to Warzone: Combat Scout and Tempered. These Warzone-exclusive perks are set to shake things up a bit. Combat Scout allows players to reveal enemies by shooting at them. They will show up as an orange ping and display for everyone in the squad. Tempered, on the other hand, is a more defensive perk. With this one in your loadout, you’ll only need to use two armor players to get to full armor. Each armor plater is more effective with 75 hit points, rather than the default 50.

We’re deep-diving into everything being released in Season 5, so stay tuned for information about all the new weapons, locations, and gamemodes.
