Put on your tinfoil hats, people, because none of what I’m about to talk about has been confirmed.
The word “Slipstream” has been bouncing around the Call of Duty world recently, but why? Well, rumor has it that it’s a codename directly related to the entry in the franchise coming in 2021. Where’s everything that I currently know about what Call of Duty Slipstream is.
Everything You Need to Know About Call of Duty Slipstream
Given that we already know the next COD is likely to be titled “Vanguard,” the idea of another title floating around the aether has people confused.
Thanks to Twitter user and data-miner Helba, all that confusion has been cleared up.
According to them, the title of “Slipstream” had been added alongside new COD 2021 assets to Battle.net.
Further investigating and speculation has led people to the conclusion that this is an official title for an Alpha/Beta early access program for 2021’s “Vanguard.”
This isn’t all that farfetched, either. Early access releases have become par for the course with Call of Duty since Black Ops 3. What isn’t typical, though, is a separate title card to mark the occasion.
We don’t know much more than that right now. So check back later for more updates on what Call of Duty “Slipstream” could be.
