In order to defeat this Water type Pikachu, you will need to forget everything that you know about water and electric-type interactions. In short, do not bring Water-type Pokémon to the battle! They will be quickly decimated by Pikachu’s powerful Electric-type attacks. Additionally, do not bring any Electric types either since they won’t do much damage to it due to Pikachu also being an Electric type. Without further ado, here are some of the best counters for the 7-Star Pikachu in this Tera Raid.

Arboliva

This Grass-type Pokémon will be great for taking down Pikachu in the raid. Giga Drain will let Arboliva heal itself, and Terrain Pulse will let Arboliva deal 100 Base Power damage with its move Grassy Terrain. Lastly, Energy Ball will help Arboliva to prepare its Tera Orb power without using any other moves’ PP.

Some of the best moves for Arboliva to learn are Giga Drain, Terrain Pulse and Energy Ball. These will all help it out in battle against Pikachu and as we mentioned use its Tera Orb more efficiently. Its base stats are solid as well, especially its Sp. Atk which comes in at 125 and its Sp. Def at 109. These are its two highest stats, however Arboliva also has a strong Defense with 90 points and an HP of 78.

Lurantis

Lurantis is another Grass-type Pokémon that can effectively counter Pikachu in this raid. Using Leaf Storm, Lurantis can quickly work to defeat Pikachu in battle. Also, the move Synthesis will help Lurantis to recover when necessary and stay in the fight for longer.

Lurantis is most well-known for its Leaf Storm and Synthesis moves, however other great ones include Solar Blade which has a Power of 125 and an Accuracy of 100, as well as Solar Beam which can smash opponents for another 120 damage. Its best base stat is its Attack, which is at 105 points. All of Lurantis’ other stats fall between the 70 to 90 range, which is fairly decent for a Grass-type, except for its speed which is at 45.

Lilligant

A mainstay of the Pokémon series for years now, Lilligant can do some serious damage to Pikachu in this raid. Using Giga Drain, Lilligant can also charge itself in battle as needed to help heal itself. Furthermore, Quiver Dance boosts many of its stats and Leaf Guard can help it avoid getting Paralyzed by any of Pikachu’s Electric-type moves.

Lilligant excels in both the Speed and Sp. Atk departments, where her stats are 90 and 110 points respectively. Although all of her other stats are pretty average, having a high speed can help her potentially go toe-to-toe with the 7-star Pikachu. Great moves for her to learn include Giga Drain, Quick Dance and Leaf Guard as we mentioned above, as well as Leaf Storm to deal some heavy damage.

Leafeon

This evolution of Eevee is not here to play! Using Swords Dance and Leaf Guard, Leafeon can become an impenetrable wall against Pikachu’s attacks while boosting its own Attack stat by a whopping 2 stages! Synthesis will also help Leafeon recover health and last longer in the fray.

Surprisingly enough from this cute looking creature, Leafeon’s best stat is its Defense which weighs in at a heavy 130 points. This means that it can certainly take a few punches before going down. Its speed is also exceptional at 95, and the Attack that Leafeon has as a base stat is 110. The best moves for this Grass-type to learn are Swords Dance and Leaf Guard, as well as Synthesis and Double-Edge for some great Normal-type damage.

Appletun

Last but certainly not least, Appletun is able to turn up the heat on Pikachu by using its Tera orb to lower Pikachu’s stats, specifically it’s Special Defense stat by a whole stage! Also, it can boost its own Defense stat using Iron Defense and can use Recover to regain health as needed. Giga Drain will let it hurt Pikachu and heal itself, meaning Appletun will become a massive drain on Pikachu’s health points.

This evolution of Applin has a ton of HP but not much else in the way of strong stats outside of 100 Sp. Atk. With 110 hitpoints, you know that Appletun is able to stand up to some of the best in the game, especially if they are near the same level. The best moves for Appletun are those that boost its stats, especially defense in battle. That includes using Iron Defense and Giga Drain to increase both Defense and HP, while Recover can also help to heal itself. Energy Ball or Dragon Pulse both do quite a bit of damage, so they are good choices as a fourth option when you are looking to take on Pikachu in this raid.
