The Mighty Typhlosion has arrived for the Limited Time 7-Star Tera Raid Event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Yes, the next Tera Raid is here and players are already preparing their army to take this beast on. Whether you are playing Solo or looking to even the odds for your Squad against the Mighty Typhlosion yourself, this guide will show you the best Pokémon to use in this 7-Star Tera Raid. The Raid is set to last for a Limited Time Only, just like with every other Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid. The dates are April 14th-26th, and April 21st-23rd, 2023. So if you happen to miss out the first time, you will get another opportunity to catch and farm that Mighty Typhlosion.
Best Counters Against 7-Star Typhlosion
For this Tera Raid, Typhlosion is a Fire-Type with the Ghost Tera Type. With the Move Set of: Eruption, Shadow Ball, Play Rough, Earthquake and Sunny Day. With his Base Move Set, players should be able to take this beast on without any real issue so long as you know the appropriate Pokémon to use against this Fire-Type. The Move of Sunny Day will boost its Fire Attacks, predominately Eruption, which can annihilate your Pokémon if you do not have their Defense Stats as high as you can possibly have them. Due to this Move, you should use Pokémon that are either resistant to fire or have high enough Defensive and Offensive Stats that you can withstand the heat.
If you are an expert with Tera Raids at this point, you should have a solid Tera Raid Team at your side to take into these Raids. In its Terastallized form, Typhlosion will use Shadow Ball, Play Rough and Earthquake. For those playing with a team of friends or helping out randoms, we recommend using Pokémon such as Perrserker, to boost your Squad and destroy the Typhlosion’s defences.
Best Solo Build Pokémon to Beat Typhlosion
But if you are on this guide you are likely looking for the best Pokémon to take Typhlosion out as a Solo player. In this case, we have a couple of recommendations. For starters, the logical choice when fighting a Fire-Type with Terastallize Ghost Typing is to use Dark-Type Pokémon. Our top picks are Umbreon and Chi-Yu. For all out damage abuser go for Annihilape or Bellibot. We also recommend the Support Pokémon Umbreon, Blissey and Dachsbun.
Using Annihilape will likely result in you dying a few times, but with the revival system, you should be able to beat Typhlosion within only a couple of attempts. You should focus on Maxing out your HP, Attack and Speed. HP will of course keep you alive for longer and for Pokémon such as Annihilape and Bellibot, this can be crucial to get the damage in. Speed is incredibly important so that you can use your Moves first over Typhlosion and get in that much needed boosting Move such as Screech or Snarl. You should use these Moves first regardless on if you are playing a Solo or Support Build for this Raid. For specific Move Sets and Builds, refer to our list below for our recommendations.
