In the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Hogwarts Legacy, there are five different graphics modes to choose from:

  • Fidelity Mode: Prioritizes visual quality over framrate performance.
  • Fidelity with Raytracing: Prioritizes visual quality over perfromance while also adding ray tracing to improve image quality.
  • Performance Mode: Increases the game’s framerate by decreasing the visual quality
  • HFR (High Frame Rate) Performance: Greatly prioritizes a higher framerate over visual quality.
  • Balanced: A mix between fidelity and performance mode that gives players slightly improved visuals and a slightly higher framerate.

Which Graphics Mode is the Best in Hogwarts Legacy?

Hogwarts Legacy isn’t the most amazing looking game out right now despite the inclusion of graphics modes which increase the visual quality. Therefore, you’d be better off using one of the performance modes to get the best performance possible. Which one you should use just depends on how much you want to decrease graphical quaility. No matter what your preference is, the game does at least give you multiple modes to choose from.
