The FR 5.56 is a weapon that recently received a few buffs, including an increase to max damage. Before the update, there weren’t many people using this gun. We’re starting to see it more, though. Here are the best attachments for the FR 5.56:
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: FR 24.4″ Sniper
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 60 Round Mags
As far as the attachments go, it’s a fairly standard setup. We go with the Monolithic Suppressor along with the sniper barrel for some range. The iron sights are not bad on this weapon, so you might prefer to drop the optic and try something else such as the Tac Laser. More ammunition is always a proper choice in Warzone, so we throw on the 60 Round Mags.
You can also try using the Underbarrel 12-Gauge Deputy attachment to switch this weapon to a shotgun. At the time of writing this, it seems incredibly overpowered. There’s a good chance that the shotty attachment will get a nerf very soon. For the shotgun route, try adding a Tac Laser, FSS Tac-Wrap, and Fully Loaded perk.
There is one major downfall to this weapon, especially if you are a beginner. It would help if you were extremely precise with it because it’s not a fully automatic assault rifle. When you’re going up against other full automatics, missing a shot could mean your death.
