Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you the chance to be basically anything your imagination can think of. From spellcasters to spontaneously combusting barbarians, the world is your tadpole to dive right into. Players have been testing out numerous build ideas, with each one being more ingenious than the last. But one person wondered if they could be a wizard to rival the sands of time. What if one could rule the battlefield not merely by sheer force, but by physically bending the fabric of space. Let’s dive deep into the darkness and take a look at the best eldritch archer build in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).

This build, as told by it’s maker RedSailor1917, is their take on a “Chronomancy Archer” build. Taking apart the word, Chronomancy is the ability to manipulate and bend time to your will. A build most similar to Chronurgy Magic from D&D 5e, we’ll be going over the highlights of what makes this setup so interesting. The Fighter/Wizard takes advantage of the ability to build up debuffs and extra attacks, allowing you to deal massive amounts of damage with each turn. Since this build relies on a heavy amount of role playing implications, there aren’t going to be a ton of concrete choices for background and races. They do however recommend you go for Urchin or Sage, and Halfling or Githyanki respectively. When reaching max level, you’ll be able to manipulate the flow of combat with moves such as Haste, Slow, and Hold. Furthermore, you’ll want to go ahead and prioritize longbows and finesse weapons, with your main focus dealing damage from a distance with your bow. Your melee should be a last resort if something gets too close.
