One of the best parts about Destiny 2 is the fashion. It’s the true endgame, so to speak. After the Grandmasters have fallen, the titles have been gilded, and the power cap has been reached, the next step for a lot of Guardians is making sure they look as drippy as humanly possible.
I get it, believe me. I spent 15 hours in Iron Banner for one shader for one piece of Hunter armor for one look – I’m no stranger to the fashion grind. If you are, though, fret not! I’ve put together this quick guide on what I think the best Destiny 2 fashion is. I’ll go over all three classes, giving some opinions and recommendations. If you’re trying to spruce up your Guardian, this is where to start.
Best Destiny 2 Fashion for Hunters
Armor
I’ve spent 99.9% of my time in Destiny 2 as a Hunter – so I feel like I’ve got a fairly experienced taste when it comes to Hunter armor fashion. There are a few different looks available to Hunters, so there’s some room for flexibility. Here are what I consider the best armor sets for Hunter fashion:
- Iron Companion Suit
- Pyrrhic Ascent Suit
- Crystocrene Suit
- Ketchkiller’s Suit
As well as those armor sets, there are a few individual armor pieces that I think are worthy of a mention – even if the rest of the set sucks:
- Prodigal Cloak
- Iron Forerunner Mask
- TM-Earp Custom Cloaked Stetson
- Refugee Cloak
Exotic Ornaments
Hunters have been blessed when it comes to Exotic ornaments. The best part of Destiny 2 fashion is figuring out how to pair a specific Exotic with Legendary armor pieces, and an ornament can make or break that.
These ornaments will run you either Silver or Bright Dust if it’s in the Bright Dust store. So, be prepared to open your wallet for these beauties:
- Beastly Visage
- Gilded Memento
- Hrafnagud
- Nano Redux
- The Gate Lord
Best Destiny 2 Fashion for Titans
Armor
I’m not a big Titan fan – for both the class and fashion scene. It’s the class I have the least amount of time on, which is honestly thanks in no small part to how bad I think the Titan armor philosophy looks.
In Destiny 1, Titan armor looked awesome. In Destiny 2, Bungie decided that every Titan in the game was now bloated. I don’t know why, but every armor set looks comically disjointed and large. There’s no flow to most of them, which isn’t true for either the Hunter or Warlock. Still, there are a few diamonds in the rough – and these are them:
- Bungie Streetwear Suit
- Legatus Suit
- Iron Companion Suit
- Midnight Exigent Suit
There aren’t many individual Titan pieces of armor that are worth pointing out – but here are four that are:
- Flaming Tiger Helmet
- Mark of the Falling Star
- Legacy’s Oath Chestplate
- TM-Cogburn Custom Cover
Exotic Ornaments
While Titans got the short end of the stick when it comes to armor, they didn’t when it comes to Exotic ornaments. Here are my personal favorites:
- Flex Enhance Repeat
- Abyss, Inverted
- Sainted Visage
- Vulcan’s Heart
- execute(Revival)

Best Destiny 2 Fashion for Warlocks
Armor
I play on my Warlock regularly enough, and I firmly believe that they have the best fashion in all of Destiny 2. Every single premium set that Warlocks get is fire – whether it’s the Fortnite crossover or the Assassin’s Creed one, and most of its gameplay-related sets are incredible, too.
I’ve made a point of not including premium sets for Warlocks here. Otherwise, every single piece of armor featured would cost a couple of bucks. and nobody wants that. So, these are my favorite non-Eververse Warlock armor sets:
- Iron Companion Suit
- Atavistic Idol Vestments
- Tusked Allegiance Suit
- Worm God Suit
I’m not applying that same no-premium rule for individual pieces, though. The Kitsune helmet just looks too good, as do these other single armor pieces:
- Viperidax Robes
- Lightkin Cover
- TM-Moss Custom Hat
- Painted Kitsune Hood
Exotic Ornaments
Warlocks don’t impress in the ornaments department as much as they do with general armor – but there are still some seriously nice Exotic ornaments worth picking up for fashion:
- Phoenixfall
- Replicate Exploit
- Conflux Control
- Gaze Beyond Worlds
- Grasp of the Void
Best Destiny 2 Shaders for Fashion
There are a lot of shaders in Destiny 2, and most of them are good. Different shaders suit different styles and looks, but there are two specific ones I want to draw attention to – Iron Countershade and Sinking Feeling.
Both of these shaders were added to the game in Season 19, and they’re arguably the best shaders we’ve ever gotten.
Iron Countershade was a reward for resetting your rank with the Iron Banner, then leveling back up to Legend again. It’s unique in that it makes cloth it’s applied on look like chainmail armor. If you’re been lamenting that Starfire Protocol has no ornament – this is the next best thing. If you have an opportunity to get your hands on this shader at any point, make sure you do.
Sinking Feeling wasn’t so tough to get – it was sold for Bright Dust. However, it’s an animated shader with electrical effects that works wonders with each classes’ Arc-based armor sets. It looks great on weapons and armor, so make sure you keep an eye out for this one, too.
