Bards in Ragnarok Origin are your typical cheerful buddies whose main weapon is their musical instruments. Even though this class doesn’t look so eager to fight, believe us that it can pack a punch if set up correctly.
When paired with Dancers, Bards can release their full potential, so if you are looking to play a Bard try to have at least one Dancer in your party. Keep in mind that they are mainly warriors that rely on their speedy physical attacks to damage enemies and their musical AoE boosts to help their allies. Skill Build for Bards in Ragnarok Origin
Since Bards are a subclass of Archers, you would need to level up some great skills in that part of the skill tree before you move on to the bard’s signature moves. Also, our Bard build naturally evolves to Minstrel build so we have suggestions for that skill tree as well. Read on to find out what the skill tree should look like for the damage-dealing Bard created for farming enemies.
Archer Skill Build (1st Job)
- Owl’s Eye (level 10) – Increases your Dexterity permanently by 10. Since this is your primary attribute you get extra damage as well.
- Vulture’s Eye (level 10) – Your range is permanently increased by 10 when leveling up this passive. It can never be a bad idea to get as further away as possible from your enemies and in the Archer’s limited pool of skills, this one should definitely be leveled up to max.
- Double Strafe (level 10) – When you use this skill you shoot two arrows at a target simultaneously dealing 350% + 200 Neutral Physical Damage.
- Attention Concentrate (level 10) – A temporary boost that increases your AGI and DEX by 10 for 4 minutes. Great when used in combination with Double Strafe.
Bard Skill Build (2nd Job)
- Play to the Score (level 5) – It could be said that this passive skill doesn’t really do much on its own but does a whole lot when used with other skills. In short, it buffs other Bard skills such as the Apple of Idunn, Bragi’s Poem, Assassin’s End, and Inharmonic Music by enhancing their effects greatly. This is why it’s vital that you have all these spells maxed out.
- Instrument Mastery (level 5) – This passive skill gives you 30 ATK and increases your mastery with instrument weapons. If you’re looking for a recommendation, a great choice would be Burning Passion Guitar.
- Blow Whistle (level 10) – One of the greatest support skills there is. When you use it your allies have increased DEF by 95% for 10 minutes. This skill alone makes Bard a great secondary support in the team.
- The Apple of Idunn (level 10) – Another great support skill that heals your allies around you for 100% x ATK + 500 per second. The more allies are around you the less healing an individual ally gets. So if you have only one teammate next to you he will get a great amount of healing but when you add a couple of more people that healing will be spread out. The spell lasts 60 seconds.
- Encore (level 5) – When you as the Bard use any Solo Performance, this spell automatically triggers another Solo Performance that will be level 5. The new solo performance lasts 10 seconds.
- Inharmonic Music (level 5) – An AoE spell that deals 200% + 200 Physical Damage per second to enemies that are in your range and lasts for 1 minute.
- Fantasy Music (level 5) – Another fantastic passive skill that allows you to generate a Fantasy Note each time you do a Solo Performance. Each Fantasy Note lasts 10 seconds (maximum 5 stacks) and increases your healing bonus by 5% and your Physical damage by 5%. A must-have passive skill that boosts you significantly.
- Bragi’s Poem (level 5) – Playing music to lower global cooldowns of nearby allies by 20%. This performance lasts 1 minute.
Note: As you can notice Bard’s skill build uses 50/40 skill points. This will be compensated by using only 26/40 in the last skill build, Minstrel (3rd Job).
Minstrel Skill Build (3rd Job)
- Song of Return (level 1) – A single skill point spent here allows you to revive fallen allies and put them on their feet with a heal of 20% x Max HP.
- Music Mastery (level 10) – When you learn the Music Mastery passive skill, you increase your Physical Damage by 20% and decrease the cooldown of all skills by 10%.
- Deafening Wardrum (level 10) – Call your allies to battle by slamming the Wardrum thus increasing their Basic ATK, MATK by 100, and Gear DEF and MDEF by 10% for 100 seconds.
- Fantasy Rhapsody (level 5) – A very demanding but very rewarding skill at the same time. When you play this rhapsody you deal 1500% of your Physical Damage to surrounding enemies, but you can only use this skill when you have 5 Fantasy Notes stacked up. This means you need to start your attacks with other Solo Performances and then kick off this powerful rhapsody at the end.
