Best Recipes for Upgrading Your Attack in Tears of the Kingdom

There is a vast number of ingredients across TotK so you can assume there is plenty of recipes as well. One thing you need to remember is how the cooking of various ingredients works.

In order to have an Attack Up recipe you’ll need to use at least one “mighty” ingredient that boosts your attack and a couple of more common ones, that boost the duration of the recipe. The more mighty ingredients you add the higher the attack boost will be. Similarly, the more regular ingredients you add the longer the effect of the Attack Up recipe is going to last. Remember this as you are creating your recipes throughout the game.

Attack Up Recipes

The first strong Attack Up recipe we’re going to recommend involves fishing for some Mighty Porgy. Get at least 4 of these fish (you can use Armored Porgy too if you don’t have a Mighty one) with 1 Dragon Horn and you will get yourself a long boost with 10+ hearts and a 3-level stat boost. The easiest and quickest way to find Mighty Porgy is in a pond near Lurelin Village, in the southeast corner of the map.

Next up is the Mighty Steamed Mushrooms recipe. Cook this one by using 1 Mighty Thistle and 1 to 4 Razorshrooms. The best location for farming Mighty Thistles is a small pond northwest of Piper Ridge in the western part of the map. Razorshooms on the other hand are plentiful and can be found all over the starting areas of the map.

For this next Attack Up recipe called Mighty Crab Stir-Fry, you’ll want to use 1 Goron Spice and 1 to 4 Razorclaw Crabs. Goron Spice can be acquired from merchants. You can get it from one that is settled in Goron City called Tanko, and from one that is traveling across the map called Yammo. It will cost you around 16 Rupees.

The last recipe we will recommend is the Mighty Mushroom Risotto. It involves more than a few ingredients, but trust us when we say that it will be worth it. You need to get 1 Rock Salt, 1 Goat Butter, 1 Hylian Rice, and 2 Razorshrooms. You can easily get Goat Butter for 12 Rupees from Kakariko, Hateno, and Rito general stores. You will get the Rock Salt by farming mineral ores while Hylian Rice can be both bought from multiple merchants and farmed by cutting the long grass.

In the end, there’s no one correct way to use these recipes. Sometimes they will be a necessity when you have a weak weapon arsenal and a strong opponent in front of you, while at other times you might want to farm some enemies fast so you want that extra kick that will make that possible.
