Best Atomic Heart Mods

Mods can fix pretty much anything.

Atomic Heart is one of the year’s most talked about titles, for better or worse. We have had our fair share of discussions about it over here. With PC games as a whole there will always be dedicated modding communities for games. Sometimes mods can be whole fan campaigns and other times they can be small quality of life things that developers overlooked.

With Atomic Heart being a mixed bag it’s going to be a good idea to take a look at the mods, so you can potentially alleviate any shortcomings the game has. Thankfully, Atomic Heart has a breadth of mods available. We this is our lest of the best mods in Atomic Heart.

The Best Mods in Atomic Heart

Custom Field of View

This is probably the most obvious mod on the list. The fact that Atomic Heart is a PC game with no FOV slider built into the game is weird. Even Hogwarts Legacy, a third person open world game, has an FOV slider. But for some reason Atomic Heart, a shooter, doesn’t? This is a must-have.

Skip Intro

It does what the name says. The opening of Atomic Heart is an hour of walking and getting a bunch of lore dumped on you. Downloading this one will let you skip all of that and get into shooting robots faster.

Buffed Weapons

One of the biggest complaints for Atomic Heart was that the guns don’t do enough damage. This mod makes sure that the game scales your damage output appropriately with the gun’s upgrades. A much-needed mod.

More Resources

This one allows you to adjust how many materials you collect. You can adjust just how much the game will multiply your resource acquisition by. You can choose 2x, 3x or 4x depending on what you prefer.

Disable Vignette

Vignette options are usually included in most games these days. But for some reason it’s missing in Atomic Heart, thankfully we have a mod for that. Vignetting is the darkness that appears on the edge of the screen sometimes. It’s especially very prevalent in Atomic Heart when crouching.

Increased Inventory and Storage

Another mod that can make the game easier! What’s great about this mod specifically is it allows you to choose how much you want to increase the storage and inventory slots by. It’s nice to think of mods like this as accent

Easiest Piston Lock

The main lock picking mechanic in Atomic Heart can sometimes be annoying to deal with. Making sure to time P3’s snaps with the light that’s spinning in a circle. This mod just makes that mechanic a lot easier by just slowing down the speed of the whole mechanic.

Simple Flashlight

Atomic Heart can be visually a very dark game. There are so many areas where there are no lights, and you have to grab an item there. This mod just adds a flashlight for you to use, so you can see in the dark but also see the visuals that may be hiding in dark corners of rooms.

Larger Subtitles

If you’re playing the game in Russian then it’s highly recommended for you to use this mod. What this mod does is increase the subtitle size by 20% and makes it, so you can see the subtitles when you’re looking around the game. Most games have options to change the size of subtitles, so it’s good that this mod adds it to the game.

Hopefully one of these mods caught your attention! Any of these mods will make it, so the game becomes a more customizable experience for everyone.

Obsessed with grinding, always playing some game you've never heard of. I am a huge MMORPG, Gacha and farming simulator fan. If I'm not grinding something in one of the many games I play (Final Fantasy XIV, World of Warcraft, Runescape, Epic Seven etc) I can be found working on my novel, reading, watching anime or hanging out with my three dogs.
