Open the Door!

It’s almost time to leap head-first into the robot apocalypse with Atomic Heart. But, you won’t get very far without knowing how to open locked doors. Atomic Heart features a unique system of opening locked doors. Where other games of its type would boast an intensive lockpicking system, this game forgoes that for a more gamified take. Here’s how to complete the door lock mechanic in Atomic Heart.

How to Complete Door Lock Mechanic in Atomic Heart

In Atomic Heart, locked doors have an odd-looking device attached that players can interact with. As they do, their left arm will connect to this device via a series of wires in their palm. You’ll immediately notice that a red (and sometimes green) light will go clockwise and counter-clockwise around the device. You’ll also notice that your right arm will move into a snapping position. This is all connected, I assure you.

In order to open the door, you’ll need to think of this device as a traditional cam lock, where you’ll move and stop the blinking red light until all of them turn green. How do you switch the light’s direction, you ask? Well, that’s simple — you snap your fingers. See? I told you everything connected. So, for example — if the light begins moving clockwise, you’ll let it move until the light is green. Then, it’ll start moving in the opposite direction, but faster. As mentioned, your goal is to get each light to turn green. But, watch out! If you mess up, everything will reset!
