The Guest Puzzle

To escape Alice Angel’s awful tea party, players need to solve her puzzle. Sitting on the dining chairs around you are Lost Ones who each offer you a hint to solving the puzzle. You must input the order of animals onto the dials in the room behind you and then return to your seat at the table. If you are correct, then you will have earned your freedom. Get it wrong and Alice Angel pulls the not-at-all ominous looking lever beside her which will electrocute yourself and the guests.

The clues given by the guests around the dining table are:

  • “The Fox thinks the Rabbit smells of elderberry. I couldn’t see them sitting together.”
  • “The Bird won’t have anything to do with the Rabbit, but I hear he likes to court danger by sitting next to the Fox.”
  • “The Fox has always hated the Bear. They’d never sit next to each other.”
  • “The Rabbit never sits with the Bird. But he loves the playful company of the Bear.”
  • “The pompous Fox? He wouldn’t be caught dead sitting on the left. Far too pedestrian.”
  • “My friend, the Bear, always sits next to the Bird. After all, they went to school together.”

The Puzzle Solution

Go to the upper level by climbing the ladder on the wall opposite Alice Angel. Here you will find a dial system to input the correct order of the animals. The correct order from left to right is as follows:

  • Rabbit
  • Bear
  • Bird
  • Fox

Pull the lever on the right to input this sequence. Return to the dining table and sit on the head chair at the table, opposite Alice. After this, players must fight off Lost Ones and soon after verse Alice Angel herself in a Boss fight.

The Easter Egg Reference

Bendy and the Dark Revival is filled with amazing little details, from well thought-out backtracking to obtain Audio Logs and Memories to creative references. The Alice Angel puzzle is one of these great references. The order in which the animals appear on the dials is referencing the order that the Five Nights at Freddy’s Band appeared on stage in the first iconic and classic instalment of Scott Cawthon’s horror franchise. In the scene in Five Nights at Freddy’s players can see the, what were once lovable childhood cuddly characters performing on stage in the order of Bonnie, Freddy and Chica. Foxy would be off to the right of the stage in Pirate Cove.

This is one of the great details of Bendy and the Dark Revival, extending its game time length through collectibles, hidden secrets and unlocking the in-game achievements. For more Bendy and the Dark Revival content see our related article: All Memory Locations in Bendy and the Dark Revival.
