Baldur’s Gate 3 is now officially live on Steam in early access, as of October 6, 2020, at 1:00 pm ET. It’s time to gather your party and make your way back to the Forgotten Realms. There are no pre-loads for this game, so you’ll have to download the entire game after purchasing it.
The estimated file size for Baldur’s Gate 3 is around 150 GB, so ensure you have enough space available before downloading. So far, we know the following races will be in the game: humans, elves, githyanki, drow, half-elf, dwarves, halflings, and tieflings. In addition to each race, there are subraces to choose from as well.
Upon hopping into the game, you’ll have the option to pick from 150 head models, scanned from real actors’ faces. You can then choose between six classes on the first day of early access, including Cleric, Fighter, Ranger, Rogue, Warlock, and Wizard. Each class also includes a minimum of two subclasses.
How to get Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access
Players looking to get into early access can head over to the official Baldur’s Gate 3 Steam Page and order the game. It costs $59.99 at the moment.
Note: Some users are reporting errors purchasing the game, and a message like: “It looks like you’ve been attempting a lot of purchases in the last few hours. Please wait a while before trying again.” If this is the case, we recommend waiting while Steam works the issues out.Â
