Atomic Heart: How to Stop Enemies and Cameras From Respawning

Permadeath, but not for us!

Spawn and respawn. The magic that video games present to us, and we completely accept it. After all, imagine if every single developer implemented a permadeath mechanic on their games. There would be an epidemic of rage-quitting and angry gamers. And still, we do have one of those even today, with unlimited respawns. Of course, this respawning mechanic is also available for our enemies, but wouldn’t it be nice if we could, somehow, disable that? What? There is a way? Are you sure? What do you mean I’m talking alone? Here is how to stop enemies and cameras from respawning in Atomic Heart.

How to Stop Enemies and Cameras From Respawning

Getting to fight constant rounds of enemies while trying to avoid the cameras that sent them is quite annoying. I mean, annoying in the sense that you get distracted from your current objective, but I understand why they need to exist. As you can probably guess by reading the title of this article, these tend to continue to respawn and crowd the areas that we have already discovered. Fortunately, there is a way to stop both the enemies and cameras from respawning, and it is quite simple actually, if you know what you are looking for.

You probably already noticed that no matter what you do, robots get repaired, and cameras get back online. They are interconnected between each other. And that interconnectivity is what we must disable. Before doing so, you must complete the first open-world mission for Granny, which happens after leaving the Vavilov Complex.

How to Disable HAWK in Atomic Heart

Granny will grant you the ability to hack the HAWK Relay. To locate the source of the connection, we will have to look for the HAWK Relays. Scan a camera, and you will see a line that travels all the way to a structure. You will be able to find a tower. Travel to its base and take the elevator up.

Once on top, you will be able to hack the entire collection of cameras in the area. Find a camera that has a view of the HAWK Relay, which is a white structure with a locked door protecting it. You can interact with the Relay while using the camera to unlock the door. Travel to the HAWK Relay you just saw through the camera and hack it. This will disable all enemies and cameras in the area.

Be sure to correctly spot the HAWK Relay structure while hacking the Tower. This is an easy process that will make things quite more fast while traveling areas that have been completely rendered offline. Make the best out of this situation and be free to explore for more secrets scattered around the area. Good luck!
