Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game where you always have something new to do every day. To get the most out of your time on the island, you can do these daily tasks to maximize your rewards. Many of these tasks can be repeated every single day, so you can create a routine out of them.
Animal Crossing New Horizons Daily Tasks
Talk To Your Neighbors
Be sure to talk to your island neighbors every day to stay friends with them. The more you speak with them, the less likely they will want to leave your island. After six days of keeping this up, you can start giving them gifts, and they will return the favor.
Shake Trees
To maximize your efficiency, shake the trees before you chop them down. You can get extra bells like this and sometimes even a piece of furniture. Always have a net on-hand so if a wasp nest falls out you can capture them and sell them for 2500 bells each.
Hit Rocks and Find The Bell Rock
Each island has a few rocks on it that you should hit with your shovel every day to get iron nuggets and other resources. You can earn over 16,000 bells every day from finding the one rock that is loaded with bells.
Walk the Beach
You can find one message bottle each day that contains one random DIY recipe. On a similar note, check-in with your neighbors because they might be working on a recipe that they will be willing to share with you. This is a great way to collect new recipes.
Find The Glowing Spot
You can find one glowing spot around your island every day. Dig in this location for a free 1,000 bells. Bury the bells here, and it will grow into a tree that grants 3x returns! This tree will take around 3 days or so to grow, but if you do this every day you can be making some serious bells every day.
Check-In at Resident Services
You can check-in at the Resident Services terminal, also known as the Nook Stop, every day to receive some bonus Nook miles. Your first visit will award you with 50 bonus miles, increasing every day to 300 bonus miles for 7+ days in a row.
Check The Recycling Box
While you are at Resident Services, make sure to check the recycling box. Anything you find in there can be sold or sometimes even used to decorate your house.
