ACNH: Catch These 2 Sea Creatures Before February

January is going by quickly, and that means a bunch of fish, bugs, and sea creatures might be leaving your island come February. Memorizing all of them can be a bit much to handle, so we wanted to put together this handy list for you to help. Here are the Animal Crossing New Horizons fish, bugs, and sea creatures to catch before February.

Luckily, no fish or bugs are leaving the island this month. There’s no need to scramble trying to catch any specific ones, which can be a good thing. However, there are two sea creatures you need to get

ACNH Sea Creatures to Catch Before February

Here are the two sea creatures you’ll want to pick up by the end of January:

  • Abalone
  • Lobster

In short, you’ll want to try and snag an Abalone and a Lobster if you still need these creatures for your Critterpedia. Here’s some information on each of them.

Abalone

  • Seasonality: June through January
  • Active Hours: 4 PM to 9 AM
  • Shadow Size: Medium
  • Speed: Medium
  • Sell Price: 2000 Bells

Abalone is an easy one to catch, but it is simply not around during the afternoon and the middle of the day. Wake up early, or check back after 4 PM to spot one.

Lobster

  • Seasonality: April to June, December to January
  • Active Hours: All Day
  • Shadow Size: Large
  • Speed: Fast
  • Sell Price: 4500 Bells

Lobsters are a bit trickier to catch than Abalone, though they are available all day long. You’ll want to look for a large shadow that moves quickly. The tricky part is catching up to them, but you should be fine as long as you know how to swim faster.

Those are all the bugs, fish, and sea creatures you need to worry about catching before the end of January. Good luck!
